ISKA Code of Conduct

These guidelines outline the standards of behaviour, safety, and professionalism required of all members, staff, and contractors (“Members”) when participating in any recovery unit services provided by Iska Recovery.
 
1. Purpose and Scope

The purpose of this Code is to:

•    Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all attendees.
•    Protect the health and wellbeing of Members and staff.
•    Maintain professional standards and uphold Iska Recovery’s reputation.

This Code applies to all individuals using or working within the Iska Recovery facility, including Members, employees, contractors, and guests.

2. Professionalism

•    Dress and Appearance: Members must remain decently clothed in all public and shared spaces. Tops are required in the car park to respect our partners at Well Bath.
•    Punctuality: Members should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before and no later than 10 minutes after their booked session time. Late arrivals outside this window will be considered late and may forfeit part of the session.

3. Conduct Toward Others

•    Respect & Courtesy: Treat all staff, contractors, and fellow Members with courtesy and respect.
•    Prohibited Behaviours: Harassment, discrimination, bullying, offensive language, or any form of intimidation will not be tolerated.
•    Shared Space Etiquette: Keep conversation volume moderate and respect others’ privacy. Keep the unit clean once done using.

4. Confidentiality & Privacy

•    Personal Data: All personal and medical information collected by Iska Recovery is governed by our Privacy Policy (https://www.iskarecovery.com/privacypolicy).
•    Session Privacy: Recording of sessions (audio, video, or photography) is prohibited unless prior written consent is obtained from all individuals depicted.

5. Health & Safety

•    Facility & Equipment Use: Follow all posted facility rules and safety protocols. Do not alter any equipment settings (e.g., ice bath temperature must remain as set).

•    No Smoking/Vaping: Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited anywhere on site.
•    Medical Disclosures: Prior to participation, Members must confirm they do not have any of the following conditions that may pose risk:
-    Heart conditions or cardiovascular disease (e.g., angina, heart attack, aortic stenosis)
-    Unstable blood pressure
-    Epilepsy or seizure disorders
-    Infectious diseases
-    Pregnancy

•    Assumption of Risk: Members must sign a liability waiver before their first session, acknowledging the inherent risks and releasing Iska Recovery from claims to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Session Etiquette

•    Check In: Members must check in with reception upon arrival. Sessions start and end at the scheduled times.
•    No Show & Short Notice Cancellations: Cancellations or reschedules made within 5 hours of the session time will be treated as a no show and count against the Member’s entitlement for that period.
•    Late Departures: If a Member is late, the session will still end at the scheduled finish time to accommodate the next booking.

7. Use of Social Media & Photography
•    Member Promotion: Members are encouraged to share their experience on social media and tag @IskaRecovery.
•    Consent Requirements: Ensure no other Members or confidential information are visible unless explicit consent has been obtained.

8. Reporting & Enforcement
•    Reporting Violations: Report any breach of this Code to info@iskarecovery.com. Include date, time, individuals involved, and a brief description.
•    Enforcement: Violations may result in one or more of the following actions at Iska Recovery’s discretion:

1.    Verbal or written warning
2.    Temporary suspension of membership
3.    Permanent termination of access without refund
4.    Referral to legal authorities if warranted
 
By participating in any Iska Recovery session, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
