In consideration of ISKA allowing me to use the Equipment and/or participate in the Protocols, I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree to the following:
Definitions
Equipment refers to any equipment owned, operated, or provided by ISKA Recovery, which may include (but is not limited to) ice baths, cold plunge pools, traditional saunas, infrared saunas, steam rooms, compression therapy, red light therapy, and any other wellness equipment offered at ISKA Recovery.
Protocols refer to any sessions, routines, or activities offered by ISKA Recovery that involve the use of the Equipment.
Acknowledgement of risks
I acknowledge that using the Equipment and/or participating in the Protocols involves substantial risks, including but not limited to:
· Exposure to extreme and suddenly changing temperatures
· Risk of fainting, dizziness, dehydration, or low blood pressure
· Muscle fatigue, strains, sprains, or other musculoskeletal injuries
· Potential for headaches, nausea, anxiety, or breathing difficulties
· Risk of heart-related complications, stroke, or loss of consciousness
· Risk of slips, falls, or injuries due to wet surfaces
I understand that ISKA Recovery does not provide medical supervision or assessments and that I am responsible for my own health and well-being while using the facilities.
Medical conditions
I confirm that I do not have any of the following medical conditions that may prevent safe participation:
· Heart conditions or cardiovascular disease (e.g., angina, heart attack, aortic stenosis)
· Unstable blood pressure
· Epilepsy or seizure disorders
· Infectious diseases
· Pregnancy
I understand that ISKA Recovery strongly recommends consulting a qualified medical professional before using the Equipment, especially if I have any existing health conditions or concerns.
Personal responsibility and compliance
I confirm that ISKA Recovery has not assessed my fitness, medical history, or ability to participate, and I am solely responsible for ensuring that I am fit and healthy enough to engage in the Protocols.
If I experience discomfort, distress, or medical concerns while using the Equipment, I will immediately stop and seek medical assistance.
I agree to follow all rules, signage, and staff instructions when using ISKA Recovery facilities. Any reckless or inappropriate behavior may result in refusal of service without a refund.
Waiver of liability & release of claims
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I hereby release and discharge ISKA Recovery, its owners, staff, and affiliates from any liability for injuries, damages, or losses arising from my use of the Equipment and participation in the Protocols.
I agree not to hold ISKA Recovery liable for any claims, injuries (including physical or mental injury), medical complications, or damages resulting from my voluntary participation.
I understand that ISKA Recovery is not responsible for any pre-existing conditions that may be aggravated by my participation in cold therapy or sauna use.
Indemnity
I agree to indemnify and hold ISKA Recovery harmless from any claims, damages, legal fees, or liabilities that arise from my use of the facilities.
I understand that I am voluntarily assuming all risks and participating entirely at my own discretion.
Agreement and acknowledgment
I acknowledge that this waiver is legally binding. If any part of this agreement is found to be invalid, the remaining sections shall still apply.
By signing this document, I confirm that I have read, understood, and accepted all terms, and I voluntarily agree to these conditions.
